ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - LYNTON HALL NURSING CENTRE
Lynton Hall Nursing Centre is a former convent, situated in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of New Malden, in Surrey. The home recently benefited from an extensive refurbishment.
The care we offer Lynton Hall offers several types of stay depending on the level of support required – from long term care to respite. We also offer specialist convalescence, palliative and post-operative care.
Food At Lynton Hall we pride ourselves in meeting the requirements of our residents and ensure that each person’s individual preferences are catered for. Our chef creates a wide range of balanced, nutritious dishes, prepared daily. There are always alternatives available, including cold options or lighter meals and snacks. Biscuits and delicious home-made cakes are served with mid-morning drinks and afternoon tea.
We also offer a Night Bite menu that’s available between 6.30pm and 6.30am, providing a range of food for those who need it.
Activities Our dedicated activity co-ordinator runs many regular activities, from cooking and quizzes to painting, gentle exercise sessions and card games. There is also plenty of opportunity for residents to pursue personal interests and hobbies if they wish.
Every month there is a seasonally-themed event for residents to participate in are arranged. Recent popular themed activities include Mother’s Day, Halloween and Pancake Day, among others.
Local entertainers and singers, accordionists and pantomime performers frequently visit the home to entertain our residents. A mobile library also calls at the home regularly and a hairdresser works from our on-site salon three times a week.
