Opened in 2002 81, Lowther Street is the only, Community Crisis House in Cumbria. The service was established to provide a unique alternative to psychiatric hospital admission. The project represents a new and innovative collaborative approach involving the voluntary and statutory sectors, to address the needs of people experiencing an acute crisis in their mental health
