Kilfillan House is a grand building situated in the heart of the historic town of Berkhamsted in the Chiltern Hills. The home has received an ‘excellent’ rating from the Care Quality Commission for its high quality of comfort and care.
The care we offer There are 28 beds at the home, which offers care to older people with physical disabilities, Parkinson's disease, and those who have had a stroke or require palliative or terminal care. We employ dedicated, caring and well trained staff, to provide 24-hour care in a professional and respectful way that is tailored towards each individual resident's needs.
Key features of Kilfillan House Built in 1902, Kilfillan House is a splendid Edwardian building and is full of character. Originally a school, the building retains many original features including an oak staircase and panelling, and stained glass windows. There is also a new conservatory that overlooks the attractive mature gardens.
Bedrooms All bedrooms are ensuite, and are tastefully furnished, bright and airy. We encourage residents to bring ornaments, pictures and small items of furniture to add their own personal touch. They all have telephone points, smoke alarms, a 24-hour call system, and thermostatic radiators. Some have views over the lovely gardens. Some larger rooms may be able to accommodate two people if required.
