ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - KEMP LODGE
Kemp Lodge offers specialist care and support to enable seven individuals to develop and maintain their cognitive skills and independence following an acquired brain injury. The service specialises in supporting people who experience drastic personality changes, these may include behaviour which can be seen as challenging.
Most people move to Kemp Lodge following a period of intensive rehabilitation and we endeavour to support them to gain a more independent way of life. Our staff spend time with each person at their current placements before they move to Kemp Lodge, helping to make transition as smooth as possible.
Kemp Lodge is within easy reach of the varied educational and leisure opportunities in Liverpool. People are encouraged to make the most of community facilities available to them.
We employ specialist staff to support our staff team in implementing individuals' therapy programmes. These professionals, who include occupational therapists and physiotherapists, review each person's programme on a monthly basis.
Kemp Lodge is extremely spacious and has a range of shared areas, giving individuals the choice of socialising, spending time relaxing alone or taking part in therapy sessions.
The garden at Kemp Lodge was designed by an architect and is a protected conservation area. People can choose to help maintain the garden to build daily living skills.
