ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - KAZLUM SUPPORT
Kazlum Support Ltd is a supported living provider offering support for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. We also provide enabling support and respite to adults living at home with their families. Support is available for anyone aged 18 or over and we will assist with the transition from children's services to adult services.
Supported living is an alternative to residential care in that it provides support and accommodation to people who are assessed as eligible for these services. The difference is that in Supported Living, the housing provider and support provider should be separate and the Service User has the option to choose where they live, who they live with and the type of accommodation.
Kazlum Support Ltd works hard to provide a well managed service that offers a future to those who need it. As a provider our aim is to provide high quality support options to adults with learning disabilities living in Exeter and Mid Devon based on ordinary life principles. We aim to be able to see individuals gain self respect, independence and confidence as well as new skills, education and work prospects that are manageable and at a level comfortable for each individual.
We pride ourselves in the services we offer and this opportunity is for individuals as long as they need it without the restrictions of time. We have extremely high standards and we believe in working closely with people with learning disabilities and all significant family members and friends. We build services around an individual’s needs and aspirations, using Person Centered Planning. We will not fit a person to a service!
Our Company motto is, 'Your Life, your Choice'. We consult our Service Users in the decision-making at all times regardless of level of disability, and we enable them to be fully involved throughout the whole process. Where people cannot advocate for themselves we will value the role of their family, friends and advocate.
