ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ILSOM HOUSE RESIDENTIAL AND NURSING HOME
Set in 14-acres of beautiful grounds, this attractive stone-built former farmhouse is located near the picturesque market town of Tetbury, in Gloucestershire.
The care we offer
Ilsom House provides nursing, convalescence, palliative care and respite. It also offers care to a small number of younger physically disabled residents and to those who are terminally ill. We employ dedicated, well trained carers, to provide 24-hour care based on the individual’s care needs.
Ilsom House also has bungalows and cottages located in the grounds and offers assisted living, which for some residents provides the extra support and independence they need without having to maintain their own property.
Food
Residents enjoy fine cuisine at Ilsom House and our chef prides himself on his extensive range of home-cooked meals. Menus are created with residents’ specific requirements and preferences in mind, and there is always the option of full cooked meals, desserts and cooked breakfasts, as well as a range of lighter alternatives and snacks. On warm, sunny days and evenings residents can choose to eat outside in the gardens if they wish. Visitors are also welcome to join residents for meals at any point.
Activities
At Ilsom House, activities to suit all interests and levels of mobility are arranged by our dedicated activity co-ordinator. The weekly schedule might include flower arranging, crafts, story reading, and quiz sessions. Musicians and performers visit regularly and have recently included a pianist and a local choir. We encourage residents to pursue their own hobbies and long-standing interests.
Excursions are often arranged - for example to the Abbey Gardens at Malmesbury, to a local pub or garden centre, or into Tetbury for a look around the shops and for a cup of coffee. Ilsom House is also well placed for visiting many local attractions, such as Prince Charles’ residence at Highgrove, and Westonbirt Arboretum.
