ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - HOUNDSWOOD HOUSE CARE HOME
Houndswood House provides accommodation for people who require nursing and personal care including people with dementia. There were two separate units in the home, Magnolia Lodge for people with a dementia and Primrose House for people who required nursing care. Both units were staffed separately.
Houndswood House is located on the outskirts of Radlett, a small town located north of London in the county of Hertfordshire between St Albans and Elstree. The Home overlooks greenbelt fields and Hounds Wood.. There are nearby shops and other amenities less than a mile away in the small town of Radlett. Radlett has a railway station with frequent trains to London and has easy access to the M25 and M1.
The Home is maintained to a high standard and has excellent facilities including a delightful conservatory and landscaped gardens with a fully stocked pond.
We aim to treat all our residents as we would wish to be teated ourselves, and our person centred approach means that each resident is an individual treated with privacy, dignity and respect. We beleive building and maintaining relationships with residents is paramount and to provide an environment which enables independant achievement is of great importance to us.
Four Seasons Health Care have many years' experience of providing expert care to older and vulnerable people in a homely, family atmosphere. We encourage relatives of those living at Houndswood House to become part of our family and as such feel free to involve themselves in our day to day activities.
