ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - HAREFIELD LODGE
Harefield Lodge is a registered residential home in Portswood, Southampton. It consists of a three bedroom shared house and four self contained flats to the rear which offer individual accommodation for people who find shared living difficult or who are looking for a stepping stone towards more independent living.
This home is equipped to support people with both physical and learning disabilities and has been designed with good accessibility.
The shared part of this home has a large, spacious and bright open-plan layout with kitchen diner, lounge and entrance hall with a lift upstairs. There is an assisted multi-position bath with overhead track hoist in the shared bathroom and each bedroom has an en-suite wet room. The bedrooms are large and well lit and offer great accommodation.
The flats vary in size, from one with a lounge with kitchenette and separate bedroom to studio flats, each with wet room showers.
Outside there is a covered walkway providing access to both the garden and the garden room.
People living at Harefield Lodge are able to access a comprehensive structured activity programme which offers a broad range of activities in a personalised and individually tailored way.
The staff team at Harefield Lodge are well trained to support individuals with a variety of needs including epilepsy, autism, cerebral palsy, complex needs and communication difficulties. The accessible environment also offers good facilities for people with a physical disability or visual impairment.
