ABOUT HAMPTON LODGE (MHA)

Situated just a couple of miles inland from Southampton’s famous docks and the coast, Hampton Lodge is a purpose-built home established in the early 1980s, providing high quality and dedicated nursing care for up to 44 people. With its quiet library, shared lounges and landscaped grounds, ideal for meeting others, a welcome sense of community is fostered here. This complements the professionalism of MHA’s highly trained staff. Indeed, summer is an especially lovely time here, as this is when residents can choose to lend a hand in tending the colourful, raised flowerbeds in the home’s pretty garden.

Inside, the private rooms are well decorated, though residents are encouraged to personalise them with their own possessions, and many of them have en suite facilities for added comfort and convenience.

MHA aims to bring quality and choice to residents’ daily lives, offering person-centred care in which residents make their own decisions on matters such as what to have for a meal or how to pass their time. There is an activity programme that offers everyone the opportunity to socialise, and entertainment from professional performers, local schoolchildren and others. At the same time, our staff members take the time and care to get to know each resident, talking to them and their families about their likes and dislikes and personal backgrounds and stories, ensuring that each older person experiences the respect and kindness they deserve.

We are committed to providing alternative therapies such as reflexology and music therapy to residents, while our Chaplain offers pastoral support to all at Hampton Lodge, whatever their beliefs. In these and countless other small ways, we help nurture the well-being of all our residents, continuingly encouraging fulfilling relationships and positive experiences.
