"Every time I visit my father the atmosphere is always very upbeat and happy. Most of the time the residents are very calm. The carers treat them all with dignity and are always chatting to them and not ignoring them. The meals that i see all seem to look appetising and I know my father enjoys them all. I see a few activities taking place, maybe more would be nice to keep them occupied. Other than that I would recommend this care home to other people.

ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - HADDON HOUSE CARE HOME


Haddon House Care Home provides residential and nursing care for up to 30 older people with dementia. The home is located in the town centre of Ilkeston area of Derbyshire.

Ilkeston is a bustling market town with lovely coffee shops which our residents enjoy.

Our dedicated staff team treat our residents with respect and dignity, giving them choice and ensuring their privacy is maintained at all times.

We have lovely home cooked food at Haddon House as well as cakes and pastries

We are more than just a care home, we strive to make it our residents' home, a place where they can maintain their independence and personal freedom and live their lives with enjoyment and fulfillment.

We aim to treat all our residents as we would wish to be treated ourselves and believe that, while dementia or confusion might mean they can no longer live independently it should not mean a loss of privacy, dignity or respect.

FSHC have many years' experience of providing expert care to older and vulnerable people in a homely, family atmosphere. Everything is geared towards ensuring that our care home's residents are happy and our overall aim is to provide dedicated, personal care, tailored to individual needs. We provide full support to relatives including the opportunity to visit at any time.

We accept local authority-funded clients. And self funding clients. 

The local area provides plenty of amenities and places of local interest. There are good local transport links and there is also a good range of activities with strong links to both the village and the churches
