ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - GABLE COURT NURSING HOME
Just two miles from Romford town centre, with a local bus route and shops close by, Gable Court is a spacious, purpose-built home for elderly residents. The home has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment meaning it now offers the latest facilities in a warm and welcoming environment.
The care we offer
Various levels of care and stays are available to suit individual needs, including daily nursing care, respite and convalescence, and palliative care. Gable Court can also offer care to people under 65 with physical disabilities and has a flexible day care service. Bupa's high standards mean that care, cleanliness and levels of staff training are second to none.
Food
Residents can choose to eat their meals in one of the light, airy dining rooms or in the privacy of their own room if they prefer. All meals are home-made, fresh, nutritious and seasonal, with a hot and cold choice. On their birthday, each resident can choose their favourite meal and enjoy a personalised birthday cake, made by the chef.
We aim to fully understand new residents' nutritional needs, tastes, special diets and preferences shortly after their arrival. Friends and relatives are most welcome to join residents for meals or even just pop in for afternoon tea, served with some delicious home-made cake.
Activities
Gable Court's dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures there’s always something enjoyable to do, such as bingo, quizzes and sing-a-longs. Local entertainers such as singers and theatrical groups visit regularly, and keep fit instructors add to the enjoyable schedule. Residents are given plenty of opportunity to pursue personal hobbies and stay active by taking part in daily tasks such as tidying up (if they like to!), socialising with other residents or walking in the pretty garden and watching the various breeds of birds that visit.
