ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - FOREST COURT NURSING HOME
Originally a private house, this spectacular building, set in picturesque countryside near Ross-on-Wye, has been converted into a comfortable, welcoming home for elderly residents, including those with dementia. This home has very recently been extensively refurbished to enhance the facilities and environment further for residents.
The care we offer
Forest Court has been adapted to offer specialist nursing dementia care, and also provides convalescence, respite and palliative care. Those with Huntington's disease can also receive our expert, professional help and support.
Key features of Forest Court
Close to the Forest of Dean, this beautiful house, which retains many period features, is set in glorious landscaped grounds, and offers the highest standard of care in a peaceful countryside setting. Local amenities are close by, and guests are always welcome; we even provide a respite room so that carers can take a break.
Bedrooms
As you would expect, each of our bedrooms is delightfully decorated and furnished to a high standard. Most are en-suite and some also have lovely long reaching garden views. Rooms have a television point, thermostatic radiator, smoke detector and 24-hour call system as standard, and some larger rooms can accommodate two people if required.
Home life
Forest Court boasts five elegant lounges in all, including a dedicated activities area, a reminiscence lounge and a quiet room. Residents can relax in the home's period ambience, entertain visitors or join in with the many activities on offer. Additional services and activities include a mobile library, hairdressing salon, physiotherapy and chiropody.
Garden
Forest Court's impressive grounds and beautiful countryside setting are at the heart of its appeal. Residents can enjoy a quiet stroll among the trees and shrubs, take afternoon tea on one of the patio seating areas, or even help out with some gentle gardening if they wish.
