ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ELMHURST
Elmhurst - part of the Quantum Care group - is located in Bishops Stortford and is a purpose built care home for older people. The home has 61 single bedrooms, divided into four self-contained living areas. Each living area has a lounge, dining room, kitchenette, and 15 bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, telephone and television points. We offer care for people with a variety of health needs, including dementia. We also offer respite care for those needing a short break.
The home is accredited by Hertfordshire County Council to provide specialist dementia care, and has to undergo a rigorous annual evaluation process in order to achieve that status.
Elmhurst is equipped to very high standards and designed to make day-to-day living easier. The home also features an attractive enclosed garden with raised flower beds.
Our catering staff provide nutritious meals and cater for special diets. There is always a choice of dishes, and residents are involved in designing menus.
Staff and residents organise a wide range of activities, all designed to suit the abilities and interests of each individual. We also have a large activities room which is put to good use.
Visitors are always welcome and relatives are encouraged to get involved in care if they wish. Small pets are also welcome in the home by prior arrangement
