Dryad Spinney offers deceptively spacious ground floor accommodation throughout and provides a positive and motivating home environment for five young men, for most, their first adult home following college. The young men living at Dryad Spinney enjoy various daily pursuits including attending drama groups, music and cooking sessions in the Southampton area. They also enjoy opportunities at home such as being out in the garden and trampolining.

Each of the five bedrooms at Dryad Spinney has an en-suite shower room and there is also a separate bathroom. There is a spacious kitchen diner and two lounge areas, offering choice for people regarding how and where they spend their time. The garden surrounding the house is generous and incorporates a large sunken trampoline.

Dryad Spinney supports energetic individuals through person centred approaches and staff use Makaton, Board Maker and photo symbols to promote understanding amongst those with communication difficulties. The enthusiastic staff team are committed to following the behaviour support plans and embrace preventative, proactive approaches focussing on positive engagement, high levels of physical activities and good daily structures and routines. Supporting people to develop their independence skills and improve their social skills are also a key focus of this home, which is also able to support people with Prader Willi Syndrome.
