The agency provides personal care to adults in their own homes mainly in the Allerdale and Copeland areas of Cumbria. The agency provided care and support to approximately 620 people. The agency was moving from traditional home care to a style of work termed 'reablement' . This is short-term intervention of approximately six weeks to help a person regain skills after an illness or hospital stay. A telephone helpline called 'careline' for out of hours emergencies was also available.
