ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - CROXLEY HOUSE
Croxley House is owned and operated by Greensleeves Homes Trust, a ‘not for profit’ charitable organisation providing care and accommodation for older people.
Croxley House is situated in the village of Croxley Green, Hertfordshire. Built in the 1640’s, the original house has been modernised to afford its 33 residents a stunning ‘home from home’ in a delightful village location.
On duty 24 hours a day, Croxley House’s dedicated multi-disciplined team, provide high quality care to meet individual resident’s requirements. As part of the home’s commitment to best practice, all staff receive ongoing training in every aspect of the care of older people.
All 31 en suite bedrooms are tastefully furnished and afford light and airy accommodation. The main sitting room overlooks beautiful Croxley Green with the comfortable library providing a quieter reading environment.
The home features award winning gardens, including two aviaries and a well stocked fish pond. Purpose built walkways provide easy access around the garden where residents can enjoy the tranquil setting or join in with any of the garden projects. Our summer house is frequented during the warmer months by residents wishing to read, relax and enjoy the surroundings.
A regular programme of activities is organised with fun and engaging pursuits provided daily and trips out to local places of interest. We recognise that our residents have differing tastes and pleasures, and cater for each and every one as an individual. Strong ties with the local community ensures regular interesting visits to the home from a host of interesting speakers and entertainers.
All food is freshly prepared with residents regularly updating the menu. A choice of delicious dishes is always available with all special dietary requirements catered for.
Croxley House follows the Eden Alternative philosophy in the care of older people. All our residents’ views, choices and preferences contribute to the daily running of their home.
