Croft Avenue is a residential home providing care for elderly residents. Built in the 18th Century as a private house, the home is located in a residential area of Penrith with views over the beautiful Lake District.
The care we offer
Croft Avenue provides residential care, convalescence and short stay/respite. We employ dedicated, well trained staff to provide 24-hour care and support in a professional and respectful way.
Located within walking distance of the town centre, Croft Avenue is an ideal choice for local residents and is conveniently situated for visitors.
Food
Each day our chef prepares a range of appetising meals that are nutritionally balanced and made using fresh ingredients. Residents can choose to enjoy sociable mealtimes in the traditional dining rooms or in the privacy of their own room if they prefer. We make sure that on their birthdays each resident receives a celebratory meal and a personalised, home-made cake to make their day extra special.
Activities
Our dedicated activity co-ordinator arranges lots of things to do, from crafts and quizzes to music and gentle exercise. There is something different every day, and plenty of opportunities to pursue personal interests and hobbies.
Entertainers regularly visit, treating residents to musical performances such as accordion recitals. We also receive visits from various churches, local schools and community groups. Our residents enjoy trips to the Lake District or simply out for coffee.
