ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - CORNWALLIS COURT
Situated in its own grounds, close to the centre of the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds, Cornwallis Court was redesigned and extended in 1981 within the original site of the old West Suffolk Hospital.
In the grounds, residents can enjoy the delights of three exquisite gardens and a large fishpond which is full of beauty and wildlife. To cater for the more energetic residents, there is a nine-hole miniature putting green.
The Home operates a traditional ‘hotel’ style of care, where residents share communal facilities. The categories of care offered are dependent upon people's assessed individual needs. The Home can accommodate up to 74 residents offering residential, nursing and dementia care. The dementia support unit , Geoffrey Dicker House, is set in its own secure gardens and provides care and support to residents with dementia.
