Clare House is an attractive, Tudor style home situated in a desirable residential area of Walton-on-Thames. Formerly a private residence, it retains a delightful, bright and homely atmosphere.
The care we offer
Clare House provides nursing care, convalescence, respite and palliative care. It also offers support for those with Parkinson’s disease. As you’d expect from Bupa, standards of care are second to none with registered nurses and highly trained care assistants providing 24-hour professional support.
Food
The chef at Clare House produces a wide range of delicious meals that are nutritionally balanced and prepared using fresh, seasonal produce. Residents' personal preferences and dietary requirements are assessed shortly after arrival. Feedback is always welcome to ensure all needs are being met. Residents can choose to eat in the social atmosphere of the dining room, or in their own room if they prefer.
Activities
Clare House has a separate room dedicated to activities. Here residents can continue with existing interests and hobbies as well as discover new ones. Our activity co-ordinator schedules daily activities to offer mental and physical stimulation, such as yoga-based exercise, quizzes and during the spring, the gardening club. She also takes time to offer one-to-one activities. We hold relatives' and residents' evenings and the hairdresser visits every Thursday. We like to make the most of our local amenities and often take trips to the shops or garden centre and enjoy days out to Brighton or Portsmouth on warmer days.
