ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - CHASEDALE CARE HOME
Chasedale is a purpose built care home in a residential area of Blyth, Northumberland providing nursing care for up to 60 older people.
We are on a main bus route which has a regular bus service into the town centre and the outlying areas.
The Home is split into 3 units. The EMI unit and General nursing unit are on the first floor. An all male unit on the ground floor. All the rooms are on-suite.
Chasedale have achieved Silver PEARL accreditation on the EMI unit. This stands for Positively enriching and enhancing residents lives. The care at Chasedale is based around each persons individual needs and a personal plan of care developed for each resident. We recognise the importance of personal, individual and resident focused care.
A varied programme of activities is available and is very much person centred and deigned with the individual in mind.
We have a varied menu and all likes and dislikes taken into consideration. The cook prepares a wide range of home cooked food and ensures it is nutritionally balanced. All diets are catered for.
Residents can choose from the inhouse options of hairdresser, chiropodist, dentist or choose their own.
Visitors are welcome any time but we do ask that mealtimes are respected.
Doctors from local practices visit Chasedale on a regular basis or by individual appointment. Residents may choose to retain their own family GP, alternatively we can make the necessary introduction to a new practice.
The grounds of Chasedale boasts a sensory garden, vegetable patch and court yard garden.
Whatever the need care is delivered with patience, kindness and understanding.
