ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BURLEY HOUSE NURSING HOME
urley House is a care home providing nursing care and is a specialist provider of mental health services.
We support young adults 18 to 65 years of age with enduring mental health needs, on their journey to recovery. We value the perspectives of the people we support and enable empowerment and choice.
We enable people to maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home. We encourage regular interaction with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local groups. We encourage friends and family to be involved through regular visits and participation at special activities, events and open days.
We provide a weekly in house programme of activities for individual to choose from. These include trips to the theatre, cinema and the local pub. Within the home our residents also enjoy board games, beauty therapies and discussing current affairs.
The Leeds branch of Mind provides a drop in centre, courses and workshops within easy reach by public transport. The Acorn Club, which is managed by Voluntary Services Leeds Partnership NHS Trust, is available to the people we support by application.
