ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BROOKSIDE RESIDENTIAL HOME
This purpose-built home situated in a residential area of Kempston, Bedfordshire, is on a local bus route for convenience, with shops close at hand. Brookside is managed on behalf of the local authority and welcomes residents from all funding types including private, local authority or NHS continuing care.
The care we offer Brookside specialises in long and short-term residential care for people with learning disabilities, including respite. We employ registered nurses and highly trained care assistants who undergo continuous professional training to ensure residents’ needs are always met.
Key features of Brookside Our home is dedicated to supporting people aged over 40 with learning disabilities. Our aim is to help them lead as full and normal a life as possible. Brookside is one of Bupa’s Partnership care homes, which enables us to work closely with local authorities and voluntary organisations. The home incorporates Morley Lodge, a small house that promotes a more independent lifestyle for its residents.
Bedrooms Our bedrooms are attractively decorated and some have views overlooking the mature landscaped garden. Modern safety features are fitted in each room, which include thermostatic radiators, smoke detectors and a 24-hour call system.
Home life The home has a spacious, comfortable lounge which provides a meeting place for residents to relax and entertain guests. There are also two traditional dining room. Although some activities can take place in these areas, they also offer a place to socialise, watch television or simply spend some quiet time.
