Broadoak Manor is situated in Parr, a residential suburb of St Helens. This bright and spacious purpose-built home has been designed specifically to meet the needs of elderly residents. It's convenient location offers easy access to transport links.
The care we offer
Broadoak Manor comprises four separate houses, three of which are registered for nursing care and one for specialist dementia nursing care. We offer the highest standards of care at Broadoak, offered by registered and qualified nurses.
All our care staff are trained in care essentials - some to NVQ levels two and three. Our registered nurses are included in an ongoing development programme.
Food
Meals are an important and enjoyable part of the day at Broadoak Manor, and our chef takes pride in creating a wide menu of balanced, nutritious dishes, prepared daily using fresh, seasonal produce. Each resident’s food requirements and preferences are continually monitored to ensure a healthy diet that suits individual tastes and cultures.
We serve tea and biscuits mid-morning and afternoon tea and coffee with a slice of delicious home-made cake!
Activities
At Broadoak Manor, our dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures there’s always something enjoyable to do including anything from dominoes, flower arranging and singing, to arts and crafts, cake making and music sessions. Residents have plenty of opportunity to pursue their own long standing hobbies, and local entertainers visit us regularly. We host a variety of popular clubs including specialist groups for dominoes.
Regular visits to local places of interest are arranged, such as the Victorian parks, church flower shows, trips to the theatre and pub lunches. The home celebrates regular seasonal special events like Burns night, Halloween and Shrove Tuesday and there is a different event held at least once a month, which friends and family are always most welcome to come along and join in with.
