ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BRIERTON LODGE NURSING CENTRE
Situated in a quiet residential area of Hartlepool in Cleveland, Brierton Lodge is a modern, purpose-built home that has been carefully designed to create a pleasant and homely environment for its residents.
The care we offer
Brierton Lodge offers nursing care for long or short stays, including convalescence, care for people with Parkinson’s disease and for those with dementia. The team here also have a great deal of expertise and are highly trained to deliver excellent palliative care.
Food
Our experienced chef serves a wide menu of balanced, nutritious dishes three times a day. Residents can choose to eat in our dining rooms or in their own bedroom if they prefer. Our chef caters for all tastes and diets and we always discuss our residents’ preferences and any special requirements they may have. Dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients, to offer the highest nutritional value.
We serve biscuits with mid-morning tea or coffee, delicious home-made cake with hot drinks in the afternoon, and pre-dinner drinks in the evening.
Activities
Residents are welcome to participate in stimulating group and individual activities both inside and outside the home. Our dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures there’s always something enjoyable to do for residents of all abilities – from knitting and dominoes to arts and crafts. We have a mobile library and local entertainers who visit the home regularly.
Brierton Lodge has strong community links – local school children and theatre groups often perform, much to the residents’ enjoyment. Friends and family are always most welcome to come and join in any trip or activity if they wish.
