ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BRIDGE HOUSE
Bridge House offers dementia care, elderly residential, day care and respite care to older people. The home is characterised by a warm, caring and homely environment and we provide a range of facilities to ensure the satisfaction and comfort of everyone we support. We focus on enablement and the promotion of personal dignity in a safe and respectful environment.
We enable people to maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home. We encourage regular interaction with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local groups. We encourage friends and family to be involved through regular visits and participation at special activities, events and open days.
We organise a range of activities designed to maintain people’s independence and enhance their quality of life. Activities which people can choose to be involved in include music, dancing, armchair exercises, cards, dominoes and movie afternoons. We also have an activities room where residents can enjoy hobbies which they previously did before coming to stay with us. Regular entertainment is provided and residents can choose to take trips out to the world famous Bury market, museums, cinemas, pubs, restaurants and the seaside.
Our friendly and experienced team of carers and domestic staff provide tailored care 24 hours a day and are supported by an experienced manager. In addition, a GP regularly visits the home.
Meals times are an important part of the day at Bridge House. Our experienced catering staff prepare a varied menu of fresh home cooked food every day and we cater for individual likes and dislikes from a cultural, religious or choice perspective.
