ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BRAMPTON LODGE

CareConcepts was established in 2004 when it purchased Marion Lauder House, which was originally a 46 place care home.  Marion Lauder House provides dementia nursing & residential care as well as respite care for 10 people with dementia.  There is a purpose built Day Centre for people with dementia providing full or half day care, activities,  including meals, Monday to Friday.

In 2006 CareConcepts Home Care was registered to deliver home care across South Manchester.

In 2008 working closely with Manchester City Council to develop specialist, innovative and flexible dementia services for older people in the community we started the 'Unified Dementia Project' which runs until 2014.

The project looks at providing responsive flexible services to people living in the community with dementia.  Giving access to emergency respite care, responsive outreach and home care visits to suit you and your needs.

The project was monitored by Manchester University looking at the impact it had on the clients, their carers’.  The progress of the individuals and the improvements in their quality of life, which were positive.

We expanded our Home Care to cover after we were successful in completing a tender to become a provider in the Trafford area.  We have been on the Trafford MBC Home Care Provider Framework since June 2011.

In May 2010 we opened our first brand new purpose built care home in Appleton, Warrington.  Brampton Lodge is a beautiful home providing general nursing care, dementia nursing & residential care as well as intermediate care to 14 people.  There is also a Day Centre at Brampton Lodge which provides care and activities to people with dementia.
