ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BOLSOVER (DCC HOME CARE SERVICE)

Bolsover Homecare is operated by Derbyshire County Council. It provides a service to people with social care needs within their own homes. The service is community and home based, providing assistance with personal care and practical support to a range of people. The service also provides re-ablement support which people can access as appropriate.

Derbyshire’s Direct Care – Home Care Service supports people to remain living in their own homes. Considerable support can be offered to people who through frailty, disability, mental ill health or general ill health. This includes help to carers who are providing substantial personal care and support to partners, relatives or friends.

Services include getting up and going to bed, washing, dressing, assisting with meals, assisting people to move from place to place (such as from bed to a chair), with practical tasks (such as shopping or pension collection), support with finances (such as paying bills), support for carers (such as sitting services) and assistance with medication.

Personal care can include physical assistance given with eating or drinking, toileting, washing or bathing, dressing, oral care or care of skin, hair and nails.

We also provide a re-ablement service, designed to work with a person intensively for a period of up to 6 weeks to help people regain skills to live as full and independent a life as possible following with a hospital admission, illness or general loss of confidence due to a fall. 

We have a number of service bases around the county and will be able to provide a service local to you.

We provide a good training framework for our staff to ensure that we can deliver a quality service that meets our clients’ needs.
