ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BLOSSOM COMMUNITY CARE

Blossom Community Care is a residential care home for those with mental health problems/difficulties between the ages of 18-65, it is a three story Victorian house customised to comply with the National Minimum Standards and the Health and Social Care Act 2008. It is a five bedroom facility in which the size of the rooms are 12 feet by 12 feet as required by the Care Standards with individual washing facilities and shower/bathing facilities for each user. The service users have access to communal rooms which offers recreational facilities such as TV, Sky and radio. The service users also have access to a good size kitchen where they have adequate facilities to prepare their food safely, with minimal supervision, and provision for beverages and drinks. Also there is access to a good sized garden with decking/patio and a vegetable patch. Blossom Community Care provides 24 hour qualified and trained staff who deliver support and care with an emphasis on personal and physical hygiene and in daily living activities, independent living skills, personalisation and social inclusion/community integration. No physical care will be provided at this location. From this location service users have psycho-therapeutic input from the core staff that will monitor the mental state for any relapse indicators/mental stability. Focus on observations, interaction with service users and communications is paramount. Blossom Community care home is focused on providing holistic care, promoting social/community integration, independence and daily living skills and personalisation. The service works together to provide quality care which meets all prompts, requirements and standards as well as deriving positive outcomes for service users and meeting their individual needs. Staff use person-centered approach when caring for service users and ensure they are supported to a high standard. A safe, secure and homely living environment is maintained at all times.
