ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BLIND VETERANS UK

Blind Veterans UK (established under the name St. Dunstan’s in 1915) is a UK national charity which provides lifelong support and rehabilitation to blind ex-Service men and women. The specialist training and rehabilitation promote independence to achieve a better quality of life. Blind Veterans UK supports anyone who has served in the Forces who has lost their sight due to war, age, accident or illness. Overlooking Brighton and the English Channel, we moved into our centre at Ovingdean in October 1938.

Ovingdean is a small villiage four miles outside Brighton. It's a marvellous place that was built for us in the 1930s and designed for blind veterans.

Our large grounds have designated safe pathways. It is a short walk from the seafront and the South Downs.
