ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BIRCHWOOD - NEWBURY
Birchwood is a modern and welcoming purpose built home located in a quiet residential area of Newbury. We offer specialist care for people who have Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia and we also provide sensitive and supportive end of life care.
Throughout the home, you’ll notice simple design features such as colour-coded suites and memory boxes which help residents with dementia to feel at ease and to engage with their environment.
Our full and varied programme of activities is based on what residents tell us they enjoy doing, as well as new things that people are keen to try for the first time. We make the most of the lovely countryside surrounding Newbury and the many local attractions within easy reach. We’re lucky to be close to the River Thames, Kennet and Avon canal, Beale Park and the castles at Highclere and Donnington.
