ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BIRCH COURT NURSING AND RESIDENTIAL HOME
Situated in Howley, a residential area of Warrington, Birch Court is a traditional, purpose built home that is wheelchair accessible throughout. With excellent access to the town centre and public transport links, Birch Court is well established in the community and boasts a dedicated, experienced team of carers.
The care we offer
With its well equipped facilities, Birch Court provides nursing, convalescence, palliative care and respite. It also offers nursing or residential care for those with dementia.
Care at Birch Court is offered by registered and qualified nurses. All our care staff are trained in care essentials - some to NVQ levels two and three. Our registered nurses are included in an ongoing development programme.
Birch Court is also involved in a 'House of memories' programme with Liverpool museum which welcomes residents to visit and take part.
Houses at Birch Court
Birch Court has four purpose-built houses. Each house has been carefully planned around the needs of its residents in order to provide the highest level of care and comfort. The home accepts residents funded by social services or PCTs as well as those who pay for care themselves.
Food
Our extensive range of appetising, nutritious meals is prepared daily using fresh produce, and is continually assessed to ensure nutritional value and quality. Special dietary needs are always catered for and our chef works with the activity co-ordinator to provide meals that coincide with any themed events.
Activities
Besides some gentle gardening, residents at Birch Court enjoy quizzes, or get creative with art and crafts. Residents have plenty of opportunity to pursue their own long standing hobbies, and local entertainers visit us regularly.
A range of therapies caters to all our residents' needs, and hairdressing and a mobile shop allow for those extra little treats. Residents are always encouraged to pursue their personal interests and long-standing hobbies.
