ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BANCROFT GARDENS RESIDENTIAL HOME
Bancroft Gardens Residential Home is a small, family-run home and provides long tem / short term care for 16 older people with a variety of different needs.
We endeavour to enable our resident to retain as much freedom as possible by offereing choices and flexibility. We also seek to improve the quality of residents' lives by helping them to regain or retain their dignity.
The atmosphere of a home or the degree of care given by a dedicated staff. We are proud that we awarded "Gold Standard Frame Work in 2012", "Small Home of the Year 2008" award for Central England & Dignity Award etc.
Bancroft Gardens is an excellently refurbished private residential care home situated in the heart of Stratford-Upon-Avon opposite the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the beautiful River Avon. Stratford is one of England's most attractive market towns and all its amenities, shops, museums, tea rooms, theatres and restaurants are within a short walk.
Stratford is also within easy reach of other interesting places such as Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle and the Cotswolds, with close proximity to the major motorway and rail networks.
Visitors are welcome at any time, and whilst there are no formalities we recommed that a telephone call be made prior to arrival for infrequent visitors. We encourage our visitors to feel they are a part of our extended family.
Residents can enjoy outings with relatives or members of staff to shop, go out for coffee, or tea, or walk in the Bancroft Gardens beside the river (or even go on a river trip in the summer), or to feed ducks. Activities inclue Reminiscence Sessions, visits from local 6th Form students to chat and play cards, bingo, scrabble board etc. Music and Mobility sessions to keep limbs from getting stiff; craft afternoons; music and sing-songs organised by professional musicians. We involved with "Kissing It Better" project. There are opportunites for the residents benefit from local concerts and shows.
