ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - AVON COURT NURSING AND RESIDENTIAL HOME
This spacious home with beautiful views over the Wiltshire countryside is a short distance from the pretty market town of Chippenham. The home has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment so that it now incorporates the latest care facilities in a warm and welcoming environment.
The care we offer
Avon Court offers care to suit individual needs, including nursing, residential, and care for those with dementia. The home also offers palliative care as well as respite and short stay care. Our dedicated nurses and carers are highly trained and experienced in looking after the needs of older people.
Food
Avon Court's chef creates balanced, nutritious dishes, prepared daily using fresh produce. Residents can eat in one of the home's elegant dining rooms, or in their own room, if they prefer.Each morning residents are offered a warm drink before they choose from the breakfast menu – this can range from full English to a continental breakfast with pastries, cereals, fruit juice and a variety of breads.
As well as the main meals served daily there are always a range of lighter options and snacks available. Residents can also choose from a separate Night Bite menu if they would like something to eat between 6.30pm and 6.30am.
Activities
Avon Court's dedicated activity co-ordinator provides varied activities to keep residents' minds and bodies stimulated, such as gentle exercise, quizzes and sing-a-longs. There are outings to the local garden centre or shopping centre for residents who wish to shop or meet friends and family.
Avon Court has twelve seasonal themed events. These are spread throughout the year and are always tailored to the different capabilities so that everyone gets to enjoy those that interest them. The events might include Burns Night, Pancake Day or Mother’s Day.
