ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ARUNDEL PARK
We work in a person-centred way to identify individual goals and ambitions, focusing on enablement and the promotion of personal dignity in a safe environment.
Arundel Park provides residential, nursing and palliative care for older people. The home has a welcoming and homely atmosphere and we focus on enabling people to maintain their independence and control over their lives.
We enable people to maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home. We encourage regular interaction with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local groups. We encourage friends and family to be involved through regular visits and participation at special activities, events and open days.
Our activities co-ordinator arranges a variety of activities that people can choose to become involved with, both in the home and in the community. Many residents particularly enjoy art and crafts, bingo, card games and dominoes. Regular trips out are organised including visits to the seaside and ferry trips across the River Mersey.
Every Thursday we hold a chair exercise and singing session and local performers visit the home regularly. We also have a Snoezelen room which is designed to stimulate people’s sense of sight, smell, sound and touch.
Meal times are an important part of the day at Arundel Park. Our experienced catering staff prepare a menu of home cooked food every day and we cater for individual likes and dislikes from a cultural, religious or choice perspective.
Our experienced and qualified nursing staff provide 24 hour tailored care and are supported by a team of care assistants selected for their skills and experience in residential, nursing and palliative care.
