Situated in the quiet village of Bricket Wood, on the outskirts of St Albans, Allington Court is a nursing home that has been specifically designed to meet the individual needs of older people.
Types of care provided Allington Court offers specialist nursing care to residents with dementia, and to those with Parkinson’s disease. We can support both long or short-term stays and provide convalescent and palliative care, and respite. Our staff are specially trained to provide all aspects of elderly care and offer excellent 24-hour nursing in a professional and respectful way.
Key features of Allington Court The carefully planned layout at Allington Court provides a safe environment in which residents can walk around freely. The enclosed courtyard garden is popular, and residents enjoy sitting there on warm days. With staff specifically trained in dementia care and a consultant psycho-geriatrician available for advice, residents and their relatives can be confident that only the very best care is provided, tailored to individual needs.
Bedrooms Some bedrooms are large enough for double occupation, if required. Every room is ensuite, carefully laid out, and has a television point, smoke detector and 24-hour call system. Residents are encouraged to bring along some favourite ornaments, pictures or small items of furniture to make their room their own.
