ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ALEXANDRA COURT
Alexandra Court is registered as a domiciliary extra care service providing personal care to residents.
Managed by the Sir Josiah Mason Trust, a registered charity established in 1868, Alexandra Court is a housing with care scheme which provides a high standard of accommodation and support to people of both genders over the age of fifty five that is registered with Care Quality Commission and also inspected by Councils who refer customers to services.
Sir Josiah Mason Trust is a charity run on a 'not-for-profit' basis which provides the assurance of a high standard, while charges are kept to a minimum.
Built in 1992, Alexandra Court encompasses 20 spacious studio apartments to full mobility standards. Each studio apartment has its own front door, kitchen with hob and fridge and en-suite toilet. There are accessible bathrooms and a wet room. Each room has a call unit so residents can enjoy privacy whilst being able to alert help from staff if need arises. Four specially equipped bathrooms assist residents with mobility issues.
Alexandra Court provides a happy medium for residents who require support to live independently in a safe and supported environment. They also have the peace of mind from knowing that both support and personal care is always available whenever they need it.
Respite facilities are also available to those in need of a short term stay. This is used both for sheltered housing residents who many have been ill or had to stay in hospital and we also take applications from anyone outside the Trust.
Within the standard weekly charge, laundry and all cleaning is included as well as two meals provided daily by our on-site professional caterers. 24-hour staffing delivers a high quality of care, maintaining residents’ choice, dignity and respect. In addition staff have received specialist training in caring for people developing dementia. A highly experienced and qualified manager is responsible for the efficient administration of the accommodation.
