ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ADULT PLACEMENT SCHEME/SHARED LIVES SCHEME
The term ‘adult placement was replaced by the term ‘shared lives in April 2008.
The purpose of the Shared Lives Scheme is to provide a service that extends the range and quality of support available to vulnerable adults. The scheme currently has 46 approved households which provide a range of long-term, respite and day support. There are 11 people supported in long-term placements.
