The Adult Placement Scheme (Shared Lives) is part of Independent Options which provide services to people who have a learning disability and their families. The scheme manages the placement carers who are classed as self-employed and are paid a monthly fee depending on the service being provided. The placement carers provide a wide range of services from a few hours to twenty-four hour care. The managers of the scheme are located at the company's head office in Hazel Grove, Stockport.
