ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ABBEYFIELD PARKDALE
Abbeyfield Parkdale care home was purpose built to provide accommodation for older people. It was commissioned by members of the Wolverhampton branch of Soroptimist International Society, and building commenced in 1978. The home was known as Soroptimist House, and operated independently until 2012.On August 1st 2012 the home merged with the Abbeyfield Society. Abbeyfield Parkdale, as the home was renamed, has 29 bedrooms, 11 of which are en suite, two comfortable communal lounges and a large pleasant dining room overlooking enclosed, mature gardens. Since the merger, the home has undergone a major programme of refurbishment which has greatly improved the facilities and added to the quality of life and comfort of our residents.
