ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 74 OLD FORD END
74 Old Ford End Road is a brand new purpose built service which offers care and support to six individuals with a learning disability and physical disabilities.
The service is ten minutes from Bedford Town Centre where there are many opportunities for education and recreation.
We encourage everyone to make the most of local facilities and to be involved in a range of activities which fit their interests. Some of the diverse activities people currently enjoy are horse riding, hydrotherapy and attending local colleges.
We tailor each individual’s care plan to help with communication, using a range of tools and systems.
The high level of staffing within the service allows everyone to become actively involved in the daily running of the service. The kitchen has been carefully designed and includes low level work tops to enable everyone to help prepare meals.
74 Old Ford End Road has spacious shared areas, offering the opportunity to socialise, spend time alone or take part in various activities. These include a large lounge and a fully equipped multi-sensory room.
The service is surrounded by landscaped gardens which are fully accessible to wheelchair users and offer everyone the opportunity to participate in outdoor games and activities, as well as just sit and relax.
