ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 46A EASTERN AVENUE
A t 46A Eastern Avenue we provide high quality care and support to six individuals with a learning disability. We have a proven track record in working with people with associated mental health needs.
46A Eastern Avenue is close to Reading town centre, where there are many educational and leisure facilities. People are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities, according to their interests, and to access local facilities, including activity centres.
Staff support and transport can also be provided for visits to individuals’ family homes. The high level of staffing at 46A Eastern Avenue allows people to become actively involved in the daily running of the service. The spacious kitchen has plenty of storage space, allowing individuals to shop and cook for themselves, with support, if they wish.
The service has shared areas, which give individuals the option of socialising, taking part in the varied programme of activities or spending time alone. There is a large lounge and a dining room, where service users can share meals together if they wish. 46A Eastern Avenue has a large fully accessible garden where people can take part in outdoor games and activities, or simply relax.
