ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 24 ST MARKS ROAD
At 24 St Marks Road we offer comprehensive residential support services for eight younger adults with a learning disability, physical disability and associated complex health care needs. We have good links with local health care professionals.
We offer a friendly home environment to everyone who lives here. We specialize in making it our priority to ensure your life is going to be fun, meaningful and fulfilled whatever your individual needs may be.
Each individual is encouraged to devise and engage in a weekly programme of activities with an emphasis on developing their skills, and broadening life experiences. This may include accessing college courses, work experience placements and community based leisure activities and learning home based skills.
A dedicated staff team work under the guidance of an experienced manager.
Staff are well trained according to mandatory requirements, and also in service specific requirements enabling them to meet individual needs.
The purpose built service offers a spacious environment and all bedrooms have en-suite facilities with overhead hoists from bedroom to en-suite.
The property has wide corridors and doorways and has a spacious light feel as well as being practical for the people who live in the service. The large rear garden is fully accessible for wheelchair users. Car parking space is provided on site to the front of the property. The service also has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
The service is in a quiet cul-de-sac in Chaddesden, only ten minutes’ walk from Derby city centre and has good access to all local amenities.
