ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 198 ROSSENDALE ROAD
At 198 Rossendale Road we provide support to enable thirteen individuals with an acquired brain injury to develop their cognitive and practical skills and build independence.
An important part of the support we give is assisting service users to make the most of facilities available to them locally. 198 Rossendale Road is located in Burnley, which has a range of education and leisure facilities.
Most people come to us following an intensive period of rehabilitation. Our staff spend time with service users at their previous placements, to make transition as smooth as possible.
We have a proven track record in helping people to move forward and achieve the lifestyle they want. The service has seven bedrooms with en-suite facilities and six flats.
In addition to our team of highly trained staff, we employ therapists who devise, implement and regularly review therapy programmes for each service user. These specialists also support the staff team to use the strategies they have devised.
There are a number of shared areas in the service to allow service users to choose their own space and how to spend their time.
There is also a large enclosed garden with a large patio. Service users can help maintain the garden as part of their daily living skills development.
