ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 177 SPRING GROVE ROAD
At 177 Spring Grove Road we support eight individuals with profound learning disabilities, physical disabilities, visual impairments and autism. We are able to support people with very high support needs.
The service is close to Hounslow town centre with a bus stop very near by. We also have an adapted minibus. We encourage everyone to take part in a wide range of activities and day trips, according to their interests. The service is next door to Isleworth Resource Centre where service users have access to many activities, including music and art sessions, computer workshops and drama therapy. The centre also has a fully equipped sensory room. We have good relationships with local groups and services in Hounslow.
Everyone has the opportunity to become actively involved in the daily running of the service and preparing meals in the specially adapted kitchen. Staff are always willing to go the extra mile and are conscious everything we do is about the people we support.
177 Spring Grove Road has spacious shared areas, giving people the choice of socialising or spending time alone. We offer a varied programme of activities within the service, including music evenings. There is a quiet area on the first floor which is used for massage, foot spas and art therapy.
The service has been designed to meet the needs of people with a physical disability, with a lift, hoists and adapted baths. There is an enclosed rear garden which is accessible to all and features raised flowerbeds, which make the garden a bright and colourful place to spend time. Individuals are invited to help maintain the garden as part of daily living skills development.
