Winscombe is situated in peaceful surroundings on the edge of Kingswood village, set within its own landscaped grounds. The home is conveniently situated for local facilities and is easily accessible from Kingswood station and the M25.
The care we offer This attractive, purpose-built home welcomes older residents who require nursing care. The home also offers care for short stays, palliative, convalescence and Parkinson’s disease care. We employ dedicated, well trained staff and registered nurses to provide 24-hour care and support in a professional and respectful way.
Food Meals are an important and enjoyable part of the day at Winscombe, and we offer a delicious daily menu, made using fresh ingredients.
All our menus are nutritionally balanced, and our chef caters for all tastes and diets, visiting each resident soon after they arrive to discuss their preferences and any special requirements they may have. Residents can join others in our elegant dining room, or eat in the privacy of their bedroom if they prefer.
Our menus also celebrate traditional days and events throughout the year, from Pancake Day to Mother’s Day and Christmas as well as residents’ birthdays.
Activities Residents are invited to make full use of the home’s services and are welcome to participate in daily activities such as needlework, art and a spot of gentle gardening. Local entertainers perform regularly and we also offer a mobile library and hairdressing services.
Every month there is a seasonal event in the home based on a variety of different themes. Residents and their families can choose to get involved and events might include Burns night suppers, Halloween or a Summer fete.
Local places of interest such as the Royal Horticultural Society gardens at Wisley, Hampton Court and Morden Hall Park can also be enjoyed on organised trips or with family and friends.
